If you’re 14-15, you have an unfair advantage and you need to take advantage of it Now!
The modern man isn't just depressed. He's trapped. Addicted to cheap dopamine from porn, video games, and weed, and He's socially deprived and invisible
Cause they didn’t take their teenage years seriously, continued doing bad habits, and never actually started self-improvement
But you can and
claim your unfair advantage
First of all, Hi, I am Subhajit, 18 years old, and one of my biggest regrets by far is starting self-improvement after the age of 15. If I had started earlier, I would have been way ahead in every aspect of life, but if you’re between the ages of 14-15 or even 16 or 17, you’re gatekeeping yourself from one of the biggest unfair advantages life will ever offer you, so hear me out
START SELF-IMPROVEMENT NOW because
You get to experience the power of compounding in your twenties
You get a chance to create your own unique desired identity
You easily get to rewire your brain towards good habits, and
You get to be in the top 1% of men by your twenties.
let’s cover them one by one
When you’re 14-15, you’re still in high school, your parents just expect from you to study well, your peers are either addicted to video games, porn etc. just wasting their life, some just well in academics and led a dull life beyond academics while some enjoying high school to their fullest for either their popularity or for one thing they are good at (ex-sports).
After finishing high school and looking back to my class mates life , neither of this group of people are doing quite great , the ones who were addicted to those are still in that stage , frankly they are even more addicted to them , the academics guys may have ended up in decent uni’s but if you look into their eyes you will find the emptiness and lack of contempt in them , and lastly the guys who peaked high school and didn’t work on themselves are seeing there fall-off.
In high school, we fear of failing and trying things outside our comfort zone in fear of what others will say, and honestly there words do suck and i am not saying to just not give a damn about what others say but neither to be like them. When you’re young, you have the most precious commodity ‘Time’ by your side and have the privilege to try things, fail , get up and go again. Life doesn’t grant you this privilege always , and most waste this privilege chasing vanity and pleasure. This can be your chance to build something of your own and work on it while others waste their time on external pleasures.
You will fail, learn and slowly gain wins, and this whole process will compound over time and when you’re in your twenties, the people who doubted you now have nothing great going for them, while you will be the one enjoying the fruits of your compounded hard work and discipline.
Secondly, when I talk about your own unique identity, I mean your physical appearance, health, athletic abilities and personality. Most of us aren’t blessed with good genetics and don’t grow up in households with a consciousness of health well-being. And as a result most of us don’t look good enough in that phase, and this is the age we start to feel attraction between the opposite gender.
And then the reality hits hard when you realise that you could have worked on yourself, but still you are like this. Honestly, it's not your fault, because nobody told you this in your childhood that this would happen. But still it isn't late, and actually, you are on the right time to improve yourself. Most of your early growth is due to your genetics and habits that you have gained from your childhood. But now you have the chance to rewire your identity and improve your looks, personality, abilities and Physique from scratch. This can be easily done with the right knowledge, patience, and consistency. The only thing you need to do is start right now.
Thirdly, you may heard about a famous quote from Aristotle, "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act but a habit.”, your habits are actually what that determines where your life is actually heading towards to and in a time where you’re surrounded by bad habits such as playing video games, watching porn, eating junk food, Doom scrolling , it’s an unfair advantage for you to leave those and start practicing good habits like Meditation, reading, Working out etc.
Even Research suggests that adolescents have a heightened sensitivity to rewards in the brain's striatum. This means you can "lock in" positive habits like exercise or reading much faster than an adult whose brain is more "set.”
So while everyone is ruining their mental health and focus , you can be the one building those great habits which will only benefit you further.
Lastly, when you embrace Self-improvement, you start to see the world differently. The people you saw as your friend, their opinion and your opinion doesn’t match a bit anymore, you try to bring them on this path but they refuse and instead make fun off you for this so either you lose your old friends or you hide your true feelings towards them.
The habits that earlier used to give you so much joy now just doesn’t feel like it anymore. Now there is an uncanny voice in your head, reminding you to do something about your current situation.
This is the infamous curse of self-improvement nobody talks about, and low key it’s necessary. As this mindset opens the way to the path of becoming one of the top 1% men of the earth.
Most people around your age are living in this weird autopilot of getting good grades , going to a good university and then getting a mediocore job and work until they are 60 or something, this way seems safe and what people had been doing for the past centuries, but you know that , it isn’t for you but due to societal pressure you have to follow this but this your moment to fully start self improvement and work on something of your own.
This discomfort, guilt, fear and pain isn’t weakness,
it’s Awareness
It’s your dark, deep desires to change
And these are the things you need to be in the top 1%
I think you’re convinced now of why you need to start right now , so let’s address the elephant in the room
How?
1. Set Delusional yet realistic goals
Goals simply give you a direction and a plan to execute your desires and the things you want from yourself but the significance of setting Delusional goals is actually a step for you to break free from the weak mindset and norms the society has imposed into you. This can be anything like ‘Building a 10/10 body’ , ‘Getting a highly attractive GF’ , ‘Getting rich and successful through a passion, something you’re good at or a business idea you have’ and so on.
Unambitious individuals, even your parents will call you out for being delusional, but don’t let their words get into your head as it’s your dreams and you will make them true and realistic by breaking your goals into micro goals.
What I mean by is that rather than just writing your main goal and moving around, you firstly plan the time you will probably need to accomplish that goal and then break down the process into yearly , monthly, weekly and daily goals. This practice will actually help you to be more consistent towards your goals, help you see your progress and will make your dream more realistic.
So set your Delusional goal and plan it to make it realistic.
2. Cutoff your bad habits and build good habits
By now, you understand how playing video games, eating junk food, watching porn and doom scrolling are making your life worse and I personally know how hard it’s to leave them behind. I have discussed this whole topic in my previous video, you can watch that to know how you can overcome these bad habits on your own.
In brief rather than cutting it off completely you slowly reduce the time spent on those habits until you have completely overcome from it (ex:- your screen time is like 8 hours so today you try to lower it to 7 hour and maybe you failed to keep it 7 but it was like 7 hour 42 minute and you actually made progress, so you continue this process until you’re in your desired stage), address the root cause of why you fall into these addictions and then replace it with good habits.
Now good habits can be anything that helps you towards your goals but, I would like you to embrace the good habits of self-improvement, which are Meditation, Gratitude and deep journaling, Reading, self-education and working out.
Meditation is a practice where you simply sit down with your eye closed for a certain time period , focus on your breath and when any thought arrives you bring back your focus back to your breath again. It helps you to be more focused and improves your overall mental health and trust me this habit alone can change your life.
While you may already know what journaling basically is But gratitude journaling and deep journaling are far different from the basic journaling that you have heard about. Gratitude journaling is a process where you write about at least five things you are grateful for every day just after waking up. Another common objection of people towards this is that they aren't grateful for anything. That is the wrong mindset. You have a roof above your head. You got food on your table. Be grateful about it many don’t get even this. By expressing gratitude you become more humble and positive minded also you start to appreciate life even more.
Deep journaling is a habit where you write your raw thoughts into a piece of paper. You don't do it regularly. It's a way for you to express your deep thoughts and reflect on them. You can do both on a physical copy or a digital platform, both works but I recommend using a physical copy or something like that.
Reading and self-education is just the same thing, as the name suggest reading is a process of gaining knowledge through reading books. In this modern age where short content is more prevalent, reading can be your weapon to gain ultimate knowledge and build an unshakeable mindset. My personal recommendation of books you should read
Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins
Millionaire Fast Lane by MJ DeMarco
Ego Is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday
These books will help you to build an unshakeable mindset and gain enormous knowledge. You can start reading today only by just reading one page and increasing it over time as you start to love reading more in the future.
Self-education is just a way of educating yourself with various knowledge that will help you to accomplish your goals, different than the conventional education that you receive at your school. You can gain knowledge from YouTube, listening to podcasts, investing in various courses, and obviously reading books and many more uncountable sources that will help you accomplish your goals and lead a better life.
Now to working out, there is no explanation needed why you should be working out. You can lift weights, train with your body weight and even do martial arts or MMA. By following any of these you shape your body, health and mind into something great and unrecognizable , obviously you will look better physically but also you will feel very good and happy inside as well. So according to your abilities and preference choose your training style and get into it.
3. Focus on Healthmaxing over looksmaxing
The internet has given birth to a quite weird concept called looksmaxing where to make your face look better you even come to the decision of even hammering your own face to make it look more angular. I want you to mainly avoid these practice as they revolve around weird hacks rather than consistent efforts on oneself. And so i want you to follow a similar yet entirely different concept called Healthmaxing where instead of just improving your looks. You focus to improve everything about your body and health by actively working out , maintaining a clean and healthy diet , which meets adequate protein requirements, boosts your Growth hormone , optimizing your testosterone, and taking proper rest using deep sleep.
Simply to put, you are pretty young, and this is the time when your growth hormone and testosterone can really do the magic for you, whatever be your genetics. If you tap in on them and really focus on optimising them, you won't even recognize yourself after two to three years as it will help you to make better muscles, eventually get taller and look better.
Growth hormone and testosterone are mainly stimulated when you go through physical exertion and have a good diet that has an adequate amount of protein and other macronutrients and micronutrients in it.
You can follow creators like Oscar Patel, Reggie Williams, and Dr Andrew Huberman for more in-depth knowledge on these things. But simply just listen to my advice here be patient about it and you will be thanking me later.
4. Cutoff unwanted noise and people and start saying no more than yes
Simply cut off unwanted people and noise. What I mean by that is that there are certain people and things in your life that doesn’t brings you any value to your life and most cases these are the things that drag you down. The people you call your friends who behind your back laugh at you for the things you are doing are the one who are holding you back
I know cutting off friends and accepting loneliness isn’t just something you can do it right there , as i said previously this path will require a lot of grit and sacrifice and that’s the reason you need to start saying more no’s than yeses
When you will go through high school and your self-improvement journey , you will see guys working lesser than you and indulging themselves into more exclusive things like parties, weed, hookups and still having a better physique, extravagant social life and attraction from the opposite gender while you have practically none cause you have isolated yourselves from all of this and are focused on your shit. Reality creeps in and you feel bad about yourself by seeing how others are enjoying their lives and you’re just working hard and not seeing results, out of nowhere one of your those friends hits you up for inviting you to a party. What are you going to do, say yes or a straight no?
This makes the process of saying no really hard where you’re conflicted between your wants and values, the answer to this will determine how far you will go in this journey, i can just advise you to say a no but really can you. You always have the room to fumble and take things easy sometimes but every time when a similar thing comes what is your answer? Think about this and take action.
That’s it , follow this steps and see how you become unrecognizable
Now, to make this journey even better, you should consider individuals or partners for accountability, and so I have created a Discord server where you can stay accountable and share your progress on the way.
Additionally, if you would like to discuss your concerns with me personally, you can schedule a call by clicking the link below. The first call is free, then I charge a dollar per 30 mins, as my time is scarce and I have other side hustles to pay rent and stuff.
Until then, Awaken the valor within you. I will see you in the next one
