People talk too much

often more than necessary

Result everybody knows about their ambitions , goals and desires

Thinking they are in power but actually they are giving the world the powers

To exploit them

powers is a game of appearance and humans are a machine of interpretation

So when you talk less than necessary

Firstly you appear more powerful than you’re

And your silence makes other people around you uncomfortable

Your short answers and silences will put them on defensive

And will compel them to fill the silence with all kinds of comments that will reveal things they didn’t intended to reveal

Most humans are busy bolstering their success , ambitions and desires

while only few observe and speak at the right time

Remember the strongest man in the room isn’t the one

with tattoos and muscles screaming they are the strongest

often they are the weakest in the room

The strongest man in the room is the most silent one in the room

when they speak people listen to their words very carefully , repeating their words on their heads multiple times

This is true power

So Robert Greene suggest

“Always say less than necessary“

the art of speaking less than necessary is quite simple

You just have to learn how to conceal your intentions

And master the art of patience

law no.3 teaches you how to conceal your intentions

law no.4 emphasizes on mastering patience

Patience is a skill that can save you from the devious traps of your enemies and help you to control your emotions

patience can be practiced by stillness and self introspection

Meditation is that tool that helps you to practice both at the same time 

So as an action plan meditate everyday atleast for 5 mins

By being patient you reduce the risk of blabbing something foolish even dangerous

 Remember that authority isn’t about moving your lips first rather it’s about compelling others to move theirs first

Revealing their intentions , desires and ambition without any resistance

Giving you the key to their untapped mine of secrets and truths
