Why are addictions so hard to beat

Well to answer this first we have to understand what really is an addiction.

Addiction is a habit that makes us happy for an instance”

This line points out some significant keywords like ‘habit’, ‘happy’and ‘instance’

Well this keywords are the analogy of an addiction

We do an addiction because it makes us ‘happy’, it act as a coping mechanism to escape the ‘boring’things in life .

But after it becomes an ‘habit’ , the happiness , fun , enjoyment just remains temporary or just for an ‘instance’and after that we feel like shit .

This habit is called “Instant gratification”. Our worst enemy

So to answer the question, why is it so hard to beat an addiction?

Well, because it has become a part of your life , it has become an ‘habit’ and eliminating an habit isn't easy and when this habit brings you joy it's even harder.

So is there no answer to this ???

Do you remember the ‘boring’ things I talked earlier this are things which can give you geniune fun after completion but this are boring and hard to achieve.

This habit is called “delayed gratification”

So a simple answer to this question is

“Embrace delayed gratification”
